Fionna's My Dog DNA health test came back!
Her Genetic Health Index is 102 - which is much greater than Nami's (71). Genetically, the company says the results for the Kishu tested (Nami and Fionna) are probably most similar to the Hokkaido (only 1 tested), then the Shikoku, Shiba, and American Akita (graph in the pictures below). These results may change as more dogs in the breed are tested. With only two individuals in the public database (Nami and Fionna) and fewer than 30 dogs tested in total, the lab cannot generate breed-specific results.
Her coat color test is:
Both Nami and Fionna were clear of all the genetic health issues the company tests for.
