Nami and Fionna had a fun day at Barn Hunt in St. Helens on Saturday the 11th. I made a post about their experience and mine on the Nihon Ken Forum.
I've also received an update from My Dog DNA - they have FINALLY received Nami's DNA sample and I will have results to post in 4-6 weeks. Nami's DNA sample was caught up for a while and sent back to me at one point, so this is VERY exciting news. She will be the first Kishu Ken (at the time of this post) in the public database once her results are up. Other than that, the girls and I have been enjoying the temperate Oregon weather and the beautiful new places to hike and explore! You can keep up with us on the Nihon Ken Forum or our Facebook page (linked on the right corner in the social icons if you scroll all the way to the bottom of the page)!

Nami, Fionna, and I will be attending our first barn hunt in St. Helens, Oregon, on Saturday April 11th. I have been posting around about it so if you are local or semi-local and interested in meeting the Kishu Ken (or seeing how they do in the event), we are more than happy to meet up and talk about the breed.
